While we still don’t know what causes Parkinson’s, great progress has been made in understanding how dopamine is produced and processed by the brain and how it regulates the activity of nerve cells that control movement. In this we are world leaders.

We have made progress that gives promise of leading to new treatments as well as ways to prevent and possibly cure the disease.
